Haven't touched linux since way back when. Now from the looks of it it seems even more easier to use, with nice purdy colors and icons 🙂
There's so much that comes with that distro its shocking.
Now I have to say I'm a total newbie when it comes to linux. The last time I've touched it I was having problems installing a simple program, ungzip and untarring stuff here and there, heck I didn't know what the heck I was doing.
What are some simple tasks that you recommend a newbie try out? Say give me a link to some kind of software, and let me see if I can download and install it?
So many things are made so much easier now with the enhanced gui interface. I think I may just start to enjoy using it 🙂
BTW, who else has a distro of linux on their Dell Inspiron 8100? I can only get a max res of 1024*768, but it did detect my Geforce card, that was nice.
Going to try and install it onto my desktop system too. Hopefully there's usb or 802.11b nics that support Linux/NetWare.
Plucky
