Wow, just got to check out a Porsche 911 GT3-RS up close...

It is neon green too. Sounds sweet, I bet it hauls.

The guy is getting HRE wheels on it I guess because that's where I saw it.

Those cars are track-tuned. Z06 and Viper will keep up / beat them on straights, but the GT3 is better for twisty tracks.

Oh yeah, I think the GT2 and 911 Turbo automatic are both faster cars, but I believe the GT3 is specced for a certain racing series in Europe. Pretty cool that you can literally buy a 'race car'. As many magazine/show testing has shown, a fast car doesn't mean much if it can't really deliver the goods under the extreme demands of a long race.

This car was literally a few days old according to the tax disc when i took this shot, registered earlier that week.

That's exactly the same car I saw this morning except it was green with black GT3-RS along the lower portion of the doors. It had the CF rear wing, CF seats, full roll cage, those huge vented disc brakes front and rear. It looked like it was brand new...and the guy was getting HRE wheels for it.

The GT3 has some awesome tires, their practically slicks.

It even says "do not drive in the rain" on them.

The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires on the RS have a treadwear rating of 80 😀

Edit: actually looked up the treadwear ratings

LOL, wonder what the treadwear ratings are on those Pirelli P Zero Corsas 😀

Who cares? It's a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the car itself.

Absolutely true...I'm just pointing out the rather outlandish costs just for tires, since a set of 4 costs around $1700 and won't last much more than 1 day at the track.

Yep, higher than the 60 treadwear of the Pirelli P-Zero Corsa. Practically speaking though, the actual treadlife is pretty similar.

definitely a sweet car. i'd love to see a GT2 RS, but my guess is at that point they'd be worried about making the Carrera GT obsolete.

It'd be like the F430 Scuderia and Enzo... the Scuderia is faster around Fiorano, Ferrari's test track.
