Wow, I really do regret selling my DSLR :(

As I'm sitting here, trying to take some product shots for an item I built with my wife's old digicam, I'm starting to realize just how handy having a DSLR is. I sold it a few months back when I was a bit short on bills after the law firm I worked at closed up shop, you gotta do what you gotta do, but it really does suck not having one anymore.

I had considered waiting for the new rumored Nikon D5000, or maybe picking up an XSI or XS, but now I'm even thinking maybe just pick up an used XT or the like.

Anyway, just posting about my regret. It wasn't until today I realized how hard it is to go back to old digicams after using DSLR's 🙁

As this is just a rant, I'll ask a question about the D5000. From what I've read, it seems to be a D90 without auto focus. Any idea on what the price will be? If it's less than $500, I might wait until it comes.

MSRP at intro will probably be something like $700 with kit lens, and $600 body (if they have a body-only SKU).

I have no idea what the features will be, but expect D90 technologies but features stripped down to D60 levels.
