i've been messing around with various programs for music for years

fruityloops
reason
magix audio
pro tools

and then i found mix craft.. while I think pro-tools is a superior package, the ease of use and feature set in the $70 mix craft is just amazing.. i've been playing with the demo and i am definately going to buy

i made a demo of stuff i did with it.. drums are loops, all piano, violin, synth and bass are using my m-audio axiom controller and sounds from mix craft, and i did the guitar using my guitar and effects pedals..

its really nice to play with and works very well

listen to 'first craft'

MixCraft is absolute crap. I used to make beats/random raps with friends and one INSISTED on continuing to use it. It constantly drops audio when recording, its display sucks, etc. ACID Pro (and even Acid Music Studio) are superior in every way possible.

What version did you use? I'm using MixCraft 4. Haven't had any audio problems what soever. I did mess with the audio buffers though, which not having set correctly caused some weird things, but ever since I fine tuned it, no issues.

I really like the new display (not knowing what the old one was), and the user interface is really intuitive. You should try the new demo.

You gotta little of everything in there didn't ya 🙂

Thats pretty cool 😎 I didn't much like the piano (except the final chord) it seemed out of place in the mix, but the rest was nice.

I've never used Mixcraft, but seems pretty full featured for the price. I don't really see anything its missing after briefly checking it out.

I use Sonar myself. I'm fairly comfortable with it after a few versions starting with guitar tracks ~ 5 years ago now, so it would be tough for me to switch.
