Wow, I didn't know craigslist was so effective.

I listed my 97 Civic on Craigs List not more than 20 minutes ago and I have already received 7 emails regarding it. ANyone ever used the site for selling a car and if so what were your experiences?

I sold a 1974 VW Super Beetle on there a couple of months ago. It sold within a week of listing it there. Funny thing was, the guy saw it on Craigslist and VW Vortex, so I'm really not sure witch one he found it on first.

Edit: Oh, and the majority of your inquiries will only be semi-serious or low-ballers. Actually gettinig a buyer to see your car is a whole other issue.

I've sold a bunch of stuff on Craigslist too. Problem is, not a single person so far has even heard of heatware. 🙁

i bought and sold my car on CL. Sold a civic and bought an integra.
o yeh, also got a rav4.

most things u use CL for, u dun use heat.

craigslist is great in metro areas because often times a serious person can come check out the goods, and vice versa. While it could be a pain to the buyer to see multiple people, it at least ensures that both parties won't be ripped off since you can do the exchange there in person.
