I'd say you started it, if you had returned the notes after your mom's emergency, then sure, all is well. But instead you demand him to apologize because he wants his notes back and then you don't even give him his notes. You make him pick them up from your friends house.

You = tard. But yeah, that guy held a 4 month grudge, lol.

I don't think you understand my point. I would have returned his notes if he just cussed at me. He began cussing at my family and threatened me. At that point, I knew someone saying those words on the phone would not be a good person to get close to. I honestly knew the guy had a temper about some stuff, but I never knew he would get so pissed off over class notes.

As I said, maybe if I went to his house on that day, we could have gotten in a fight, and who knows, maybe his roommates would have get involved as well. I didn't want that because one of us could have got hurt and it will be just too much trouble over class notes. I think I was playing smart here.

And sorry but you = tard, not me, I just did what a civilized society will demand
rolleye.gif

then why did you:

told him I wont bring them back until he apologized for all the cussing he did

did you honestly think that would somehow help the situation?

I am sorry but I don't want to get in contact with someone who starts cussing/threatning you even when you have a family emergency. I still believe I did the right thing.

Agreed, you had an obligation to him and didn't follow through. None of this would have happened if you had upheld your end of the deal.

BTW, you are teh stud, Dudley.
rolleye.gif

dude...

on my way to give him his notes, my mom had a health emergency and I had to calm her down... i care about my mom more than i care about class notes..

besides, he got his notes an hour late. its not like i burned them... i dropped them off at a friend's house who lives 3 minutes away from him...

So you never actually handed them to him with a "thank you", but instead left them with an uninvolved third party? I'ld beat you ass too. You're not much of a friend.
The fact is you never did what you said you would. You changed the deal without any notice.
You lose.

You definitely lose. Should have given the paper back and be glad he gave it to you in the first place. He did you a favor, you would have been screwed without him. That means kiss his ass.

WTF? I can't believe there are people that are saying it's your fault because you didn't give him his stupid class notes back. I mean WTF is wrong with you people?

Next time my neighbor borrows a tool from me, if he doesen't return it prompltly the next day, I'm just going to burn the fsckers house down.

How's that for justice?

You have to ask for it back, him TELL you he was going to give it back, then him not give it back. Then you threaten him. Then he takes the tool to another neighbor's house. THEN you can burn his house down.

Indeed you lost a great deal more than you realize, you lost his respect and trust. How much can one person afford to lose in a lifetime? If you start giving it away at such an early age, how can one expect to stand and do the right thing when the $hit really hits the fan?
It was you who was doing the borrowing "from a friend", and that alone obliged you to follow through on the deal, AS Mutually AGREED. I suppose it has never occured to you that your benefactor might not have wanted HIS NOTES to be available to anyone and everyone, and your action of "leaving them at another persons house, just 3 minutes away from him" was tantamount to NOT GIVING THEM BACK TO HIM AT ALL? Would you have accepted responsibility if the notes disappeared from the house you left them at? You failed to accept responsibility for your actions, and you hide under the guise of keeping people from getting hurt.
You're right on one thing though, If you don't have any character, then you can't lose much.
BTW, you get to be in the Real Man's Club, when you develop the BALLS that allow one to say "I was wrong , I made a mistake, I'm sorry." Anyone that thinks otherwise is a small boy, in mind and spirit.

The rest of the world does not revolve around you. You were right to call, but wrong on everything else. When some one starts with improper conduct, your only obligation is to conclude the deal as quickly as possible.
His overreaction is simply an indication that YOUR judgement of who you call "a friend" is to be questioned.
Yes, you do lose.

Then why did you feel the need to post of it in the first place? Does the fact that you've been handed your ass in every aspect of this event start to feel stupid now?? No? then you'll have a lot more of this BS in your life before it stops.
I can see that you're still a child who thinks that the biggest piece of chicken is for you, that you can have seconds before everyone has been served and that the channel must be changed if your favorite TV show is on.
What you think of me is so unimportant as to be laughable, given your arrogant, smug, and unapologetic attitude.
Blow it out your A$$, boy.

What is sad is that you ignore the fact that I bought your item when you came with your hat in your hand. All your statement proves is how completely self absorbed you are. Do you want the CD back now? I now wonder if your "financial crisis" that prompted that sale of CD's etc. wasn't of your own making and I inadvertantly enabled you to skirt taking responsibility for your actions?? If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
Works both ways, fool.

This is why I NEVER let anyone borrow my notes. If you want them, give me some money and I'll go photocopy them for you but there is no way you are getting my originals, especially before I've had time to rewrite them.
