Yes, this IS cable internet from InsightBB.
The old speedtest result is from before the upgrade about a month ago.
Well, today I saw a letter announcing free upgrades I called shens.
Then I checked speedtest.net, and sure enough I found out I received the upgrade.
I am very excited with this!
I am downloading at the announced/advertised speeds.
Although I still think webpages load at the same rate. Hmm, my sister checked her myspace and it seemed to load a lot faster(aka has alot of gifs and streaming music and videos) AND NO PICS.

I hope my grammar is up to ones standards on this forum.

Do you have Insight by any chance? I was just sent a letter from them saying that my 6mb down had been upgraded to a 10mb down free of charge.

hmm yeah i saw that but i pinged KC,KS and it was like 47.... so idk if that chicago server is just a little laggy or what

brain wth u need that much upload for?

Next Month - You get poke in the ass "Due to rising business costs, we are forced to slightly raise (as in .80%) your monthly charges for your intarweb connection.

And guess what? You won't have the option of going back to the slower speed at the old price!!! You either PAY or DISCONNECT.

How's that for smart thinking? Your God of a company just plopped the lube in your crack and they are just waiting. No ISP/telecom provider is in business to lose money.

Although it is tempting me to run HL DS on my server :p
oops already did everyones ping was around 80 and below :p with a load of about 8 peeps it used to go to 200 when over 5 people were in :p

Competition drives down prices. There is a fierce battle between telcos and cable.

We're in the golden age of communications. Services will only get better/cheaper from here on out. The battle lines are drawn. The technoloy is there. Cable stole telcos revenue. Telco wants it back. The winner is the consumer.
