Found this at howstuffworks.com:

How Grayson Works

the link to the downloads directly is here: TF.N Fanfilms link

Basically, it's a trailer for a movie that does not exist, and probably never will. Featuring a dead Batman, corrupted Superman and Wonderwoman, the Joker (and his Jokerettes), Green Lantern, and the Penguin. Oh, and the Riddler.

And Robin is the star.

Fvcking cool as hell too.

Don't think it's a repost...

Check out the links for more info....

Edit (again): More info....

The making of video at the download site is pretty interesting too. Only 4 digital effects in the film, and they used a 16mm windup camera.

Interview with director

saw this about a week or so ago....awesome independent trailer...has a plot line that jumps all over the palce it looks like....but overall looks like something that could be done.
The editing and camerawork alone though on this clip is pretty amazing, acting is a little hokey but what can u expect from amatuers?
I was pretty impressed when i saw it the first time though and still am, actually interested to see hwo the story developed and all...too bad it wasn't really picked up.

Yeah, the plots a little...skippy, but since it's posing as a trailer a to build up interest, I'm okay with that. Yeah the acting for some of the characters was a little iffy, but most of them actually do a pretty good job, surprisingly. The Joker is creepy as hell, and I kinda like the old Superman thing. Makes it more evident how times have changed and the good guys aren't necessarily in charge anymore/fallen on tough times.

And that one chick with the tight shiny pants is pretty hot, too. 🙂

It's an awesome trailer. No doubt.

Honestly, if they had a good script for the entire movie (it seems hard because the trailer goes EVERYWHERE), I'd contribute $100 to help further the cause.

$100 is a LOT to me btw. It's easily more than I make in day 🙁

If it doesn't make it to a theater, it better come out on DVD, I want to see this film!

That was pretty awesome. I hope some movie company out there picks up on this idea and goes with it.

There is not film, no script, just a trailer.

not gonna happen. it has way too many licensed comic book characters.

I am not too big into comics, however are those not all DC Comic characters? I would understand a problem if it was a mix of Marvel, DC, Todd McFarlene, etc.

No, they're all DC characters, but specific film studios own the film rights to specific characters. Same with Marvel characters. Crossovers are unlikely.

If you read the entire howstuffworks.com article on Grayson, I think the director says somewhere in there that the trailer actually represents a few movies which is why the plot seems to jump everywhere. I would love to see this picked up as a movie franchise, but it sounds like it may never happen.

DC Comics would be smart to get the licenses in order to get this made though ... they could start an entire comic book based on it, and probably create a bunch of other marketing goodies to go with it.

Same here....that was freaking cool

I think it's kind of cool having it being Robin (of all people) being the one to save the day.

I can't remember where but I think it said the director had this all thouoght out for a movie, although if the studios ever got it, it would more than likely end up being a couple of movies with all the different parts of the plot that he had.

It's also just cool from a technical standpoint, especially since they did it on film with almost no retakes.
