Got my new HSF today and didn't even bother to apply the AS3.

Generic HSF to SK7 + YS Tech variable decreased CPU temps 15C under load, I'm really happy. To celebrate I'm overlcocking and having a beer (good mix eh?) 😉
 
What were your old temps and what are your new temps? Give the computer a nice cold beer as well...maybe you can lower its temps a few more degrees. AS3 would work just as well though 😉
 
Old temps: 47/54
New temps: 40/42

The AS3 should drop it a little bit but I don't really care, it's running cool enough to keep me happy. Beer in the case, that's water cooling right?
 
umm... no matter the heatsink, you want at least some type of greaes on the CPU. Doesn't matter how good the heatsink is, even a swiftech or thermalright should have thermal grease.
