One way to get rid of aliasing is by turning on anti aliasing, another way is by increasing resolution. I have found that increasing resolution gives pretty good anti-aliasing while giving better performance. Whats the problem? To get this effect on the 21inch monitor, i need to crank up the res to 1600x1200. On a 17inch all i need to do is crank it to 1024x768. This gives the same effect just on a smaller screen with a lot better performance. Just a thought.

I just got this monitor as an early Christmas gift from my wife, am loving the Diamondtron. I was using a Nokia 21" XPro, like the brighter aperture grille for gaming. (this one has a couple "Super Bright" modes as well)
Have a 19" Sony HMD A400 also that I love on my 3 year old's pc. (the one that always has a hosed OS ;-) )
Enjoy.

Wow! Then you'll be even more impressed with a 13" or 14"!![]()
In any event, some ppl use their gear for WORK. Like documents, spreadsheets and exotic stuff like that.
They like being able to see a whole lot more at once without endless scrolling.
But you're looking at an overall smaller image... That is just a terrible argument... Get a more powerful video card.

what he is saying is, at 1024X768, it is easier to see the jaggies on a big moniter then on a small one.

While this is technically correct, it's a very silly argument, since you can get the same effect as a smaller monitor by sitting a little bit further away from the larger one if it's bothering you in a particular game.![]()
