Wow, Gamecube is pretty tough

Yeah it's rugged for sure. They did a comparison on Xplay and it lasted through a sledgehammer, a 25 foot drop onto a concrete floor, and some other nastiness.

-LMAO that is the Xplay segment LMFAO @ me

i think the last test broke the optical drive, it boots up right into the system software instead of the normal gamecube startup animation.

The Big N sure knows how to build them...!!!
...
Once again we see how cheap Sony is...
Although I wonder how the new mini version would hold up...

it broke the cd tray door, but you could still somehow get it back to original placement

same here, i have that one (sold my old one to a friend, then bought this . . . dont need HDD or firewire, and networking is built in, plus, it's quieter)

I saw that. The box shoulda won, only the front panel came off. At the end of the video when they start killing hte xbox, thye had to have hit it multiple times before. Watch it, it is amusing.

as i said . . . very bad acting . . .

She's alot better on the show...
I'm not quite sure what she was aiming for here though...

the real question is would any of them play games after the first test?
there is no use to the demonstration if the things wont play games after taking abuse.

Well, considering the mini lacks a VOLTAGE REG FOR THE FVCKING LASER (when you chip the things, it's recommended you also install a voltage reg) I have serious doubts about it's build quality. However, it does appear to be COMPLETELY solid, with the only impact-sensitive part being the pop-top. The plastic is probably very thin, though.
