you should get a mcw50-t for your ATi card 🙂 they RULE... i have dedicated watercooling just for my gpu... and let me tell ya... it's sweet 🙂

I have the DangerDen Maze 4 GPU cooler, it works great.
I bought a second Maze 4 with the peltier unit, but I've been told there is a possibility it won't fit on the 800XT. Time will tell 🙂

I can hit 2.8 but it locks in 3DMark 2003.
2.7 seems to work just great.
Temp at IDLE is 46C and 50C when running the benchmarks.
I'm running 1.712v for the cpu.

I am having fun playing with it 😛

I'm going to start benchmarking in earnest this evening, after getting a few hours sleep. I work nights and I don't work this evening and I have the next 4 days off.

My video card is bottlenecking me right now. A prelim 3dMark 2003 was 6800.
BUT the system sure does seem fast.

One very interesting thing of note. Before any overclocking at all, when I got the system up and running and I installed Win XP Pro, the ENTIRE XP install with sp1 slipstreamed in took 8 1/2 minutes. I couldn't believe it. Roughly twice as fast as my P4 system

Skip the GPU benchmarks untill you get your X800. 😉

Pre-ordered a 800XT! Wow!!!!!! I wish I have $500 to burn.

Id love to see some gaming performance numbers on the FX-53.

And bah to you for not taking the NVIDIA + NVIDIA GPU/Chipset plunge to show us the proprietary performance increases we all want to see 😛

Here's the story on the money.
My wife and I filed our taxes this year and our return was $814.
We had borrowed a little more than that around Christmas from my mom this last year. So we knew we would pay her back with the return.
When we opened it it said $2814.
Our acccountant had forgot to carry a 2!!!!!
Yes we verified the amount with the IRS. 😉

So my wife and I split the difference, I had been saving for the system, but the extra $1000 let me buy it 😀

Very honest answer SilverBack!

nice man....its a good day in silverback's house....I wanna see some 3dmark 01, 03 scores when u get the x800 plz as I am gonna be grabbing one myself and tossing it in my 2.5ghz mobile rig.

Hey, glad it worked out. Post some benchies!

Did you try lowering the multipiers to hit your highest fsb? If its capable of 250fsb or above, go for some DDR500+ memory!

Nice overclock! voltages?

Wow...2.7GHZ on an AthlonFX...that's incredible. Now you need an X800XT or 6800U...you definately won't be CPU-limited!!! Congrats, dude. 🙂
