did you even PLAY that game? It was really, really fun. I'm glad they charge so much, because otherwise I'd actually buy it and play it all the time.

Were they giving out free stuff or something? Why was everyone at frys when there there are a million retail outfits selling it...

they had raffles for stuff, like ski tickets, whole computers, 6800's, etc...

Blizzard staff was also there.

not all retailers started selling at midnight. take wal-mart, for example. they didn't start until 10am this morning.

walmart here in Houston sold out over night... they put it out at midnight.. so just becsue yours didnt doesnt mean it didnt happen=P

how soon you forget when Windows 95 came out. hospitals were working overtime to tend to the wounded and maimed nerds, crushed by larger and more powerful nerds in the paniced dash to the windows 95 pyramid o' software boxes.

i guess the collectors edition is being sold out everywhere...i should have picked up a couple extra and sold them on ebay or something

oh yah, that too 😱

i went just to see the chaos, that's why i was like OMG... then i went home and drew the drawing

but at least i knew one of the dev's and he's waiving my monthly fee (but i still have to buy the game 😛)

blizzard staff was there that alone made it worth going. I got a boxset completely signed out by most all the developers :
They were incredibly friendly guys, most of them thanked us while we were asking them to sign the game.

people there near the front would buy 5-10 copies of the game, then walk to the back and sell the reg edition (55 dollars) for 80 dollars. It kinda annoyed me that people would wait in line, then buy the game at a ridiculous markup, especially since it was the non collecters edition and it was unsigned. why even go to this even then, they are ubber nerds i guess, demanding to be the first on the servers

i'll get some pics of the box when i get back to school (i'm playing hookey and instead hanging out at home up north 🙂 )
the collecters edition is sweet, valve should watch and learn 😛

I thought so too at first. Then I thought I play golf and it is $50-$75 for 4 hours one day for me and my gf to play. 6 months of WoW is $77...

Spending that money for entertainment seems to save me money, since instead of always going out to have fun ... I spend more time at home 😛
