this is an interesting topic and I hope I pose in the right forums... as I know, many of u ONLY check the HOT DEAL forums....

I am NOT advocating doing this for profit, as it WILL take your time and YMMV
and u guys sure have done a LOT of PM, BVG, rebate, calling CS, so I think it's comparable...
I just want to let u know your right and what other have done to stop the never-ending spamming in our life and protect your privacy...

how to make profit from telemarketing and fight back...

Each state has its spam law ....

Seattle News successful fight back story

courtesy of slashdot for more detail

and now u can be the one selling this lame info on ebay to some sucker and and put some attractive title to lure them in..
lol

After going through all that hard work of linking those links eariler :p , I'm feeling lazy. It sounded like the guy got $500 a call due to a Washington state law, but is there also a nation wide law against this?

The FINE PRINT

<< IT'S THE LAW

The law against automated dialing and announcing devices is part of the state's telecommunications law and can be found at RCW 80.36.400.

The law describes an automatic dialing and announcing device as one that automatically dials telephone numbers and plays a recorded message once a connection is made. Making such a call is illegal if it involves commercial solicitation, which is defined as the unsolicited initiation of a telephone conversation for the purpose of encouraging a person to purchase property, goods, or services.

The ban applies to all commercial solicitation intended to be received by telephone customers within the state.

A violation of the law is a violation of the state's Consumer Protection Act.

The law says that "It shall be presumed that damages to the recipient of commercial solicitations made using an automatic dialing and announcing device are five hundred dollars."

I wonder if we're ALL going to need attorney's to FIND this law in our states books! ;) I bet that it would be worth a 5 minute phone call to one to simply find out if that sort of law even EXISTS in your state! ;)

can't wait to find out tomorrow! ;)

Enough said. So, how do you do thing step by step. Obviously, without hiring a lawyer.
