I thought of a carrot. Never saw this before. Cool!
I thought of Carrot too. But I suspect my reasoning was very different from most others.
While I was doing the test, it reminded me of another similar test.
1. What is 4 + 20?
2. What is 29 - 5?
3. What is 6 x 4?
4. Think of a vegetable.
Most people would answer carrot on this test. Why? Because most people think, "24", "24", "24", and then they subconsciously think 24 CARRAT GOLD ----> CARROT.
I learned this in a Psychology course, and most of the class guessed "Carrot."
I have no idea why other people thought of carrot for the original post.

I said apple. Yes, I know an apple is a fruit. I must be really f'd up.
It's the arrow part that made me think of carrot. When I was reading the vegetable part, I still didn't come up with anything except "hrm, what's a green vegetable?" And then I decide to read the next line, "arrow down", and carrot instantly popped into my head.

Peas, because that's what I had for dinner. Oddly enough I had carrots for dinner too but I thought of peas because when you mentioned vegetable I automatically thought green, and from there to peas because I just ate them.
