Wow finding a cheap 20" tube TV is nearly impossible these days

I want a cheap 19 or 20 inch TV if it had a built in DVD player that'd be a plus but I can't seem to find anywhere that's B&M and offers this on the cheap.

The only option I can find that even fits this is a $200 TV from Walmart.

Hell I remember buying a 25" Sharp TV from Costco 7 years ago for $100.

Now it cost double that for 5 less inches?

Craziness.

Not everyone wants a LCD for a small TV!

If the reason matters...

It's for a cabin my friend owns and since it's out in the middle of the woods and hardly anyone ever uses it, there is no reason to have anything nice in there or that cost more than $100.

I'd look on craigslist/bulletin board. Most people either want very little or just to give them away if you'll haul them.

...so you're saying I should sell my old 20" Wega, as opposed to giving it away like I had planned?

Yes.

Unless you want to give it to me of course 😉

I sold my old 35" Sony for $200 just a few months ago.

Wasn't even a Wega/flat screen.

I have been trying to get rid of my 30" Sony Wega CRT HDTV for months now. It comes with a stand, remotes and in home warranty. I been asking $250 for it and nothing - not even a nigerian scammer bite

I hope you do not take this as being rude.

I see tv's frequently on the curbside for free. Often wraped in plastic with a note on them. I got my first TV that way and a 6 month old side by side GE fridge.

craigslist and you may even find someone just giving one away.

I just saw 4 CRT's on Craigslist being given away with TV stands. 32" and smaller, but any bigger and you need a few big guys to haul it.

fwiw - I believe new ones from the store have to be able to decode digital signals. Between that and their low demand compared to flat-screens, they're not cheap anymore.

Yeah just go Craigslist. I have a 27" tube TV sitting in a closet that I will never use. It weighs as much as a person and requires two people to move, and even then, it's difficult to move it more than 50 feet without setting it down to rest. If you were in Minneapolis I'd give it to you in exchange for some beer.

Yeah, they are all required to have ATSC tuners now. That probably increases the price significantly.
