WoW Expansion Playable at BlizzCon!!

ya, this has been floating around most WoW forums yesterday and today. I just hope Bliz doesn't charge another $50 to get the expansion...

On a side note, I re-subscribed the other day. This time playing Alliance Druid (was Horde Shaman). I hope I don't get bored of the game mechanics too soon, or worse yet, addicted beyond belief again...

I tried to play again but the game is so craptastically boring I didnt last long.

I was totally addicted to the game until I got to endgame content. MC was at first an awesome experience, then it became about loot (myself included) and I was like WTF am I doing a 5 hour run for a pair of boots (1.if they drop and 2. if I have more DKP than anyone else that wants them).

Needless to say I realized how awesome the run from 1-60 was and how incredibly boring being level 60 was.

I stopped playing the game completely after that realization. Went from 20+ hours a week playing to nothing at the drop of a hat.

Just purchased Vampire: Bloodlines and finished up Call of Duty. I'm looking forward to getting these games that I passed on cheap(er) than launch time during my WoW addiction:

Splinter Cell 3
Vampire - Bloodlines
KotOR 2
...cant remember the rest butI know theres a few more as well. I may pick up Far Cry for the xbox too as that seems to be a more fleshed out game than the PC version, which I really enjoyed.

That's great to hear - I live so close by that I'm mighty tempted to buy a ticket just to check out the xpansion pack. Wow was actually my first MMO - I was totally addicted to playing for around six months, but never got to level 60 - I was too busy leveling up different characters, trying out different classes and just basically exploring online MMO culture. Now, i've been pretty busy with other games, and its been hard to get enthused about playing again. My pally is at 51 right now, so I may drop back in Uldum and see if my guild is still active.

I also have a human and gnome rogue, but I seriously do NOT want to do SV all over again just to get past my 30's and 40's, lol.
This is probably one of the best games i've ever played, but the time commitment just seems Enormous! And playing just one class tends to get boring after a while. Oh well, I hope the expansion pack can entice me back with some blood elves or Pandarens. 🙂

Have to comment on this. I found myself doing that with my rogue, and didn't even get past the Deadmines - once i got my Defias set, I was like, Ok now I MUST have duel cruel barbs, hehe. It was getting ridiculoooos.... My pick up groups would fall apart after an hour. Those groups that made it with me ( and there were quite a few fine folks out there) to Van Cleef were awesome, but of course, VC only drops those must have goodies occassionaly, and after about 3 weeks of that I was going batty.

Thank god my family took my on a cruise for three weeks to Europe during the summer. I came home after that and really haven't touched wow since.

I'm readdicted now after two weeks of playing and swearing I'd never play again. Gotta love friends who talk friends into joining their addiction!

/points and laughs at those who made fun of Sony for making you pay extra for expansion packs and praising blizzard for giving them their expansions thru content patches. (or as sony calls the content updates, live updates)

but that aside, i probably will pick up WoW expansion pack and give it a try once the internet is back up. My friends in RL have been trying to talk me into coming back to azeroth.

Exact same situation here.

Same exact thing happened to me. Spending 5+hours at a time became tedious, and more like work than play.

i bought it when it came out, played for about 5 months, quit, then started back a couple weeks ago. I don't have any friends that play, so its no big deal for me to quit and come back.

56 warlock
26 shaman
21 druid

all on bleeding hollow...

Did something similar here ... played on Mannoroth from last Year around halloween until April, then I quit "for good." A couple of friends from work kept talking about WoW more and more and in August I gave in and started a new toon on their server. My old characters (58 pally, 40 mage, 15 priest on Mannoroth) haven't been logged in since April, but I play my 58 Druid just about every day on my current server (Suramar.) Got a 22 Warrior there and a 15 priest as well (priest is horde, rest are alliance)
