Wireless networking not working. My network controller is disabled in Control Panel, though my wired network is working. I'll check for updates.

Anyone get wireless networking to cooperate?

-Robert

My Intel 4965AGN card in my HP dv6500t notebook worked straight from first boot. Even during the setup it gave me the option of connecting to a wireless network. Pretty cool stuff.

My wired connection is working through my Intel nic onboard, and though I downloaded the updates, my wireless is still NOT working. Neither my Cisco Wireless N card, or my onboard wireless card, which is a Broadcom something or other. The wireless controller is yellow in Control Panel. 🙁

-Robert

My onboard nic didn't work either. I had to find Vista x64 drivers for it, and then I was good. I think you will have to do the same.

I'll give that a try and report back. Is wireless working for you?

Thanks to the Engineer for his post!!! I received both the 32 and 64 bit keys in less than 1 minute this morning.

I think they just started working again. I've been trying since 2am, & just got it about 5 minutes ago.

Yep I have both keys too, remember they expire August 1st.

Interestingly enough, the key pages hand out different keys if refreshed, but they also repeat keys. I'm starting to think that MS is not issuing individual keys, and that they're just going to issue bulk keys due to the load (they control the activation servers after all, so as long as it activates...).

Did anyone get keys starting with: D9RHV or RFFTV?

I rest my case. If the system is working correctly, MS is not issuing unique keys - they're throwing this wide open.

I'd say there's a fair chance the system is not working correctly. But regardless, I did get 1 of each key. I am having a hard time getting the ISO downloaded however. It seems stop at various places as if it has completed. I'm trying it with flashget now.

was able to download both without issue last night. one key for both..option to get more keys but only one needed. (i'm a technet subscriber so i get 6 installs of each..good nuff.

Got one... all hail Engineer, for he truly is a god among men 🙂

The method linked earlier for grabbing keys works really well. It's a little complicated but it works.

I hope trying it with flashget works... I'd really like to give windows 7 a whirl 🙂

john, i get ya, but don't lose sleep over it if you can't or have to wait..it's a bit faster vista in a lot of ways. i know there's a "how do you like it" thread already but i'll just say it has enough critical driver issues at this point that it's virtually useless for everything i want to do with it. maybe i'm just getting old and don't want to waste so much of my time trying out new os'es🙂

https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/productkeys/win7-64/enus/default.aspx

I just changed the win7-64 to win7-32 for the 32 key

ps.
quote above is the syntax of that link. Try cut & paste.
Also, the # 32 should direct to 32 key, replacing 32 with 64 should direct to 64 key.

btw... hxxp

There's no difference guys. It's just like Vista, keys aren't coded for the specific bit-version.
