So, I see someone in Thunderbluff selling this with seeds. I look it up on Thrott and if I use it with the seeds and 2 Ungoro soil, it makes something. The thing is, what does it eventually give? Is it for a quest? I have a lot of the soil in the bank? I did a couple rounds of Ungoro to get herbs and the power crystals and decided to keep the soil too. I believe I remember during Beta that someone once posted about a bag that gives different herbs for alchemy. Is this it? I even searched the WoW community forums for info and found nothing.

You combine seeds & soil to get herbs. Sure you get some decent stuff once in a while, but alot of junk herbs too. It's far too much of a PITA for the reward in my opinion. Take up herbalism instead, or bum your herbs off of a guilde 🙂
 
like gsaldivar said, every 10 (or 15?) minutes, you pop in 2 un'goro soils and one seed packet and you get an herb out of it.

you get it for a quest that requires 10 morrowgrain. they also provide 20 seeds (so 20 chances), but you have to get the soil yourself. i know nothing about herbs, so i just gave away the ones i didnt need. oh, and the reward for that quest sucks. its just a bag with some food an potions. i dont recall what the exp was like. then again, this is a very easy quest to do provided you are already in un'goro
 
I haven't found morrowgrain to be a rare result. I get it at least 40-50% of the time (don't have herbalism/alchemy which increases your chances either). Regardless the quest for the morrowgrain is nice because you can do it as many times as you want to get rep increase and some ok potions for reward. Probably not something you would go out of the way to do repeatedly, but if you are doing quests in Un'goro you should be able to turn this in 3 or 4 times at least (I have turned it in 3 times so far and still have Un'goro quests).

 
Yea, just do it while your doing ungoro quests. Loot the dirt piles and whatever dirt comes off mobs. I was able to do it about three times. After I finished with ungoro I didn't bother getting anymore dirt.
 
i got 10 morrowgrain after 18 seeds. about 1/2 was garbage herbs, 1/4 was uncommon or rare ones, and 1/4 was morrowgrain. tho, the morrowgrain came in stacks of 2 or 3
