Yeah, Sampson should go with them, since he's going berserk.

Probably just a confiscated computer that was not wiped before auction. Stuff's auctioned all the time. Somebody just forgot to do their job this time.

You mean someone hit copy not delete

You mean they hit copy instead of move. Dirty cops. j/k

(Think about it.)

ahhah go fvck yourself kid...Now, go to dinner, mommy is calling you.

Can't forget that obligatory, "Um...um...ha...uh...I R older than u so go to ur room baby," lame attempt at a comeback. Don't be so unpredictable, you're making it hard.

Did you ever get an award for being an ignorant self-righteous prick?

Ignorant? Don't you people have any more creative words in your little vocabulary? Now, self-righteous prick award? Been there, done that, got the goddamn plaque on my wall.

What do you want me to say? "oh tee hee, the cute little policemans messed up and didn't do their job"
How the f you do miss something like that? I know how, complete, utter, blatent stupidity that even rivals what you claim I have.

Mmmm, such a proverbial raging bag of emotions. Did the little sk8er boi get busted for his dime of pot and now he hates the police force? And you question MY maturity? Go tag a building with "death to pigs" or something, at least then you won't have to feebly attempt to represent a real argument against the police that way.

They paid £77 for a Tatung monitor and hard drive, plus £15 and £10 each for two other Compaq hard drives. They both bore Strathclyde Police labels stating they were Y2K compatible.

Wow. The amount of intelligence in that paragraph is stunning.

Yes, you should expect a standard flame retort when you post a standard flame post. Why did you expect more? Oh wait that's right, your ebadass badge shines in this type of light.

Raging bag of emotions? I have nothing against cops. My opinion of them has nothing to do with the fact that they are jackasses. They prove it time and time again. This particular instance, has no excuse. How do you excuse what they did? "Oh it was a mistake", give me an effing break.
Id rather not go into how deep the stupidity on the police force runs, that could be a long drawn out discussion. Or you could just flame me mindlessly like you're going to anyway.

I'm not sure how you can stand on the side of the police at all in this situation. Yes the lady overreacted, but that should not overshadow the complete lack professionalism on the part of the police. They mention it is a "well-established fund raising scheme", gee, think they would know more about what they are selling.
Mabey they can hire a tech lackey like yourself to help them out.

Where was I questioning your maturity? That is the conclusion you drew I was just calling you what you are, a wee little wind bag with half a clue and even less wit. So continue to pour on your fallacies and cockwagging it's fun.

Oh yes, I couldn't agree more - because obviously, I was trying to sound like a badass. Obviously.

I have nothing against cops. My opinion of them has nothing to do with the fact that they are jackasses. They prove it time and time again.

I'd retort, if that made sense. "I have nothing against them, except they're jackasses." That's like saying, "It's not that I don't like him, I just think he's a total piece of sh!t!"

This particular instance, has no excuse. How do you excuse what they did? "Oh it was a mistake", give me an effing break.

OK, this obviously shows how little you know on this subject. Do you actually think, just for a second, that the police themselves actually ever even TOUCH the goddamn computer after they send it to the crime lab? Sounds like you do.
The police confiscate it, send it to thte crime lab who usually gets any and all information off of it, then usually either a) sends it back to the town where it came from, who sends it to one of the town/city's computer "technicians" who wipe the drive or b) wipe the drive and THEN send it back. In this case, either the crime lab or the city's local employed computer geek made a mistake.

But of course, in all your wisdom, you would rather blame the "complete, utter, [and] blatent stupidity" of the police force.

Or you could just flame me mindlessly like you're going to anyway.

As opposed to the well thought-out, carefully structured argument that you have formed in all your posts, of course.

I'm not sure how you can stand on the side of the police at all in this situation. No. The average police officer barely has a clue how to run a license plate on the car computers without training, let alone know the contents of a couple seized 'hard drives' being auctioned off probably run by a bunch of community volunteers.

Mabey they can hire a tech lackey like yourself to help them out.

Actually, I probably know less about computer forensics than 99% of the rest of AnandTech, which isn't saying much. I do know, however, the process that these types of things go through and its obvious that you do not have a clue - for lack of a more eloquent way to say it.

Where was I questioning your maturity? That is the conclusion you drew I was just calling you what you are, a wee little wind bag with half a clue and even less wit. So continue to pour on your fallacies and cockwagging it's fun.

See my post above and try again. If you made an attempt to actually put valid, even remotely believable information to support your argument in your posts, I might actually consider your "points."
