Just saw some highlights from them and it is unbelievably scary stuff. Poisoning and killing dogs that are chained up with nerve gas, how to make and manufacture explosives, urban assaults, etc... It is a bunch of tapes that a guy from CNN snuck out of Afghanistan that were never meant to be seen. They are showing something about it tonight at 10:00pm (uggghhh, can't believe I am going to watch CNN) and all week.

IMHO, anyone that questions what we are doing right now should take a long, hard look at this program. It needs to be understood what exactly we are going up against here. Not saying that questioning some decisions is anti-american, debate is always good, but we need to be more unified than we are. This, I feel, is a battle for the survival of our civilization.

I was watching Fox News last night, and they have some incredible footage of the Al Qaeda prisoner uprising that killed our CIA guys. It was pretty intense stuff I'd never seen before.

CNN's "House of War" special report was excellent, top-notch. Weird seeing footage of killed CIA agent Michael Spann interrogating John Walker Lindh before the uprising started...

The US government tested nukes and other weapons on US soldiers and other US citizens. How is that better than using dogs for it?

At the time we had no idea what the effect would be......everyone knows what gas does to living things. Doesn't make what the U.S. did right but it is a bit more understandable seeing as how the effects of nuke radiation were realtively unknown at the time.

Agreed. But there are examples that really make you look at the US and go "geez, guys, be more careful!" The weapons testing is one, another is when we dropped the bomb on Hiroshima without even knowing if the spread of radiation would cease (i.e, for all we knew, we were about to kill off the world).

There was an article on Mike Spann in today's Parade magazine. Talked about how his first wife died 6 weeks after he did, leaving his second wife with all three children. I hadn't read, before today, that Mike Spann and his wife had met going through CIA training. The article also said that she is getting ready to go back to work for the CIA. I would be guessing but I would say not as a field agent like she had originally planned. It was a pretty good article.

Further, Astaroth has conveniently provided a Link to a video showing US burn-tests on live pigs, fully knowing the effects of such test a decade prior. Uneccessarily burning the skin of live pigs - now, is that or is that not just sadism with a scientific guise, my friend?
