Wow - check out the voice talent in Fallout

Recognized a few of these voices during the game, but had no IDEA they had this many well-knowns and heavy hitters (as far as voiceovers go) in one of my all-time favorite RPGs, Fallout.

Who else would like to see a new version of Fallout (with a spiffy new engine, of course)?

Much to my dismay, I sold Fallout and Fallout2 before I finished either of them. I hear Tactics is pretty good. Maybe I'll go find an old copy of it somewhere...

Tactics is OK but not great, it's almost like a long stream of random encounters because it's all combat with zero role-playing. And for squad-level turn-based combat Jagged Alliance 2 is better. It's also cheap ($10-20) just like FOT. A good JA2 website: www.strategyplanet.com/jaggedalliance

PS Interplay put out a jewel-case bundle of FO 1 + 2 for about $15 (!!) check around for it (chipsbits.com should have it if not amazon).

Fallout and Fallout 2 are awesome. I beat Fallout 2, but I got to the end of Fallout way to early by a string of accidental good luck. I got tired of trying to level up just to beat the game

Edit: Oh, and they had *better* make a new Fallout. I'd like a much, much larger setting. Maybe in the eastern US?

I never played fallout or fallout 2, but I heard they were awesome. Does anyone know of a place that I could buy the 1st game? Since I'm on a tight budget I'm sure that it would be real cheap, and hopefully it would tide me over for a little while. Also, I'm sure the ol' pc would have no problem running the game

You can get a JC version that includes both Fallout 1 and 2 for about $10.

And since both games use 2-D graphics, they run awesomely on nearly any machine, no matter how old.

I didn't realize how old the game was (read: oy, the graphics suck ). Looks like it's gonna be fun playing it though.

And that would be why "Graphics" is NOT a poll choice...although at the time, the games definitely didn't look as out-of-date as they do now (of course).

Supposedly a group was working on a "Fallout" siegelet for Dungeon Siege.

Wouldn't THAT be sweet...an in-depth story with a smokin engine, beautiful combat effects...WOW!

I wansn't really knocking the game because the graphics are weak, I just never realized how old it was. I definately don't judge a game by its graphics alone. If I did that then I wouldn't still be playing my nintendo/genesis/super nintendo games today (man how I love metroid, zelda, super mario bros, sonic, etc....).

Anyway, I've got to go back to the game 'cause my vault needs that water chip thingy!!!!
