WoW: Character Leveling & Selling..

Hey all you WoWers...

I was addicted to D2.. but I haven't got WoW yet.
I hear about all these characters being sold now...
Is it really worth it? I have played DII before but I'm wondering how hard it is to level in WoW...

If I play... 10 hours a day... ( and level instead of duel around ) what is the approximate time I could reach l-60?

It isn't hard to hit 60 in WoW, but if you're caught selling or using a resold account, Blizzard can and will delete it.

I reached 60 last night @ 466 hrs but i was far from rushing. Have heard of people reaching it in under 360 hrs but imo that's about as fast as you're gonna get, though i'm sure CVSiN has stories of people in his guild reaching it in less 😛

10hrs a day everyday? heh, 40 days would be my guess for someone new to mmos. Buy it tomorrow and reach 60 by March 20th!! ub3r!

19 play days (and how long has the game been out?) ...... 'far from rushing?' LOL!

there's a difference between rushing to hit 60 and playing a lot 😉

I'm not sure how many days I've got in.....I think I got about 200 hours so a little more than 8 days. I'm at level 38.5 and once I hit 40, where I get my free mount, I'll play around with it and then maybe quit. A great game and a great ride but I ain't gonna make the push for the best gear, etc. I ain't gonna hang around too long like I did with EQ 1. Never liked raids very much, or in the case of WoW, instances. Too time consuming.

Stick to quests for experience, don't grind mobs unless you need a little more experience to bump you to the next level. For tradeskills, go with skinning/herbalism/mining (pick two) - they're gathering professions and won't take much extra time to skill up, plus you can sell the stuff for extra cash.

You don't want to buy a level 60 character - you're going to miss 90% of the game content that's in right now. There's not much to do once you're at the cap right now. Eventually they'll add in Battlegrounds and more 60+ raid instances, but that's AT BEST a month or two away.

I got to 30 in a little over three days /played, and I was not rushing at all. I ran the lower level instances 2-3 times and skilled up my tradeskills.

the goal is not to just play as a lvl 60, but to earn it! all the stuff that leads up to it is whats fun, not the end result

MrBond: don't forget additional outside zones, they won't keep 60s locked up in instances and battlegrounds all the time!

I can't remember exactly how much play time I had when I hit 60, probably around 15 days or so. I definitely would have hit it sooner, but I spent 58-60 doing Strat/Scholo/BRS and was able to get my xp through that.

i'm lvl 23 in just over 24 hrs. I've done some quests and focked around a bit but i grinded often and hard. (1 character)

I alt. on another to rest experience my main character, and working on my shadow priest
