Not at that level. You don't get to be President without craving power to some degree imo. I mean, it's a really hectic, stressful, crappy job for the most part with no real perks. Except the ones power brings of course. Therefore, if you're all about power all your actions revolve around power.

Now I will say, no matter what his reasons, flying in there takes stones. However don't expect me to believe he did it just for the troops. If he did it for that reason alone then I'm wrong and I've misjudged the man. *shrugs*
 
I knew something was up, there was a C130(? the giant AF transporter plane) circling my town for ~ an hour yesterday @ low levels. Live in DFW area, suspect AF1 flew from/landed in this area.
