Wow, Bush spent Thanksgiving in Iraq!

I gotta give the idea men a big thumbs up. Took some guts to pull it off.

True dat. Iraq's very unstable at the moment, it's like in World Empire when you conquer a country but you have to keep troops there or they'll revolt..

You've got to admit, it takes some "balls" to fly into potentially hostile anti-American territory in a big and shinny blue 747 with the words United States of America stretched across both sides.

Naturally though, you could argue that the troops there have the real balls, which I agree with. But  to Bush for going when he didn't need to.

I bet they were really quiet and praying on the way out of Iraq. "please let us get out, please let us get out safely" lol.

actually about the big blue 747, they flew in at night, escorted with "many" jets, as to mask the sound of airforce1, and they had all of the lights in air force turned off. The pilots used night vision.

Patiently awaits the impending Bush-Bash.

I find many of Bush's policies rediculous and was against the war in Iraq from the onset, HOWEVER, I really admire the guy for flying into Baghdad like that. He didn't have to do it. The fact that he did it on Thanksgiving further adds to his character. Since the U.S. is in there I really hope they can kill that Saddam nutcase and allow Iraq to become a free democratic country. For that matter I hope Osama is caught as well. They can only run for so long...it's only a matter of time before they turn up. If those two are captured/killed, it will totally change my opinion regarding the war. The best Christmas present possible for North America this year would be Canada catching Bin Laden and the U.S. getting Saddam.

No kidding. Wasn't there a cargo plane hit by a missle earlier this week in Iraq?

I'm impressed.

Cool. THat man has my vote.

And that was all it was about. Can you all not see through it?

So, you're saying the guy just risked his life for votes? I doubt that. He didn't NEED to do that.

I think this action speaks volumes about this man's character. Whether or not you agree with his policies is one thing but you have to admire him for his courage.

Was great of him to do that. Honestly though wonder if its all political (You have to admit this is a huge boost for his campaign) or does he really care about our troops. A week ago I would not of wondered. But after reading the proposed Medicare bill my future is not looking very bright. It seems he wanted to pass anything, good or bad, just so he could say he did something when it comes time for his re election. As it stands I see no way that he cares at all about it, just wanted it as a political chess piece.

And before you call me a liberal I voted for him.

But the new Medicare bill is really making me rethink my political choices. Funny thing is, if I am understanding it correctly, this new bill could be the death of me. Literally.

From the Washington Post:

"it is too soon to know whether the image of Bush in his Army jacket... will become a symbol of strong leadership or a symbol of unwarranted bravado".
