I still dont know of anyway to stop such lag, but with 8megabit internet connections soon the standard thats gotta help out our clinet end, and maybe someone will get some cost effective ideas of how to sort the server end out.
I wouldn't count on that, I'm on 100 Mbit and it's still laggy as hell during the zergfests.
Are we talking choppy framerates or waiting on the server for information about player positions & actions? Two different things.

Lag, not bad FPS.
While the FPS isn't great, it's not horrible either, but actually doing something(a charge for example) takes forever.

K just making sure, a lot of players aren't aware that there's a difference and that the limiting factor in fps is actually their PC.

I don't have a problem with the HS patch, and i'm on a PvP server. I have not noticed a significant gameplay change in any area other than hillsbrad, which instead of being zerged by both sides at night, is now zerged by both sides all day. there are alternatives to going there and anyone who choses to do so now choses to do so stupidly

the people ganking people with 1% health, or people lower to them, are the examples of dumbasses raising their honorkills rather than their contribution points. i inspected someone who had 11,000 honor kills, and only 20,000 contribution points. Yet, i myself have 400 honor kills and 8000 contribution. A buddy has 1500 kills at 23,000 contribution.

my only beef with HS is that i will never really do very well in it since i do not have the time to compete with the 16 year olds who tag 100s of people via AoE for hours upon hours for no CP. but oh wellz, such is life i guess.

You gotta realize that the real true players are out there looking for fair or slightly outmatched AGAINST them fights. and the people who are riding around ganking are the same people who were doing it before HS, and are the same people who will be doing it after battlegrounds is out.

After yesterday I'm actually think it is indeed cooling down.
Me and a friend were out questing in STV, and not only did we run into several alliance who didn't attack us on sight, we even cooperated a few times.
This even happened to my friend before we joined up, so it wasn't about them being scared of taking on two people at once(which I doubt would have made a difference, on patch day people would gladly charge into groups of 5 people for whatever reason).
