They should make it like, teams in certain brackets have to wear the gear taht pertains to that bracket

So like S1 gear given to players in 0-1300 bracket they can only wear in arena, if they pass 1300 they can wear it outside arena

S2 gear 1300-xxx?
S3 gear xxx-2000?
S4 gear 2000++?

That would make it so skill reigns over gear

i think my idea of making it Que you at whatever rating your gear required was a better idea, so if you had a S4 wep which requires a rating of 2050 you are auto qued at that rating

would be nice to keep people in Full current season out of the 1500s where they just slaughter anyone starting out, and this seems to be the largets complaint currently, people with gear in the low brackets

I still don't get why *any* gear imbalance and a gear feedback loop in the arena is considered good design.

BassBomb's reward system where arena rating limits allow a specific tier of PvP gear to be worn outside the arena sounds nice. Some visual rewards, mount, stuff like that can be sprinkled on top.

Wow was that a good time. Full raid on raid action... then you weren't sure if they would meet you at the next dragon. It'd be a big race and you're itching to see what's waiting for you there. Everyone needs to experience that at least once.

Arena style fighting in an MMO is completely stupid. It's pretty much ruined pvp in WoW. Gear and the RNG mean more in arena then anything else.

Edit- The only type of pvp that makes any sense in an MMO to me is large groups fighting over objectives. WoW just needs those objectives to matter in the world and really make a difference.

The problem with other MMO, including WoW now, to add large scale objectives is that it would infringe on trademarks. Yep, Mythic actually has a trademark on large scale combat..RvR. Mythic already shut down one MMO that tried to incorporate RvR in the game, they did not even call it that, they called in "huge warfare" or something to that effect. But it was shut down because of Mythic.

You have a link for this? Trademarks are icons, pictures, emblems ect. I think you may be thinking of copyright or patent infringement.

And I have never heard Mythic holding either for RVR. That would be nearly impossible to defend in a court of law anyways. It would be like Ultima Online holding a copyright for fantasy mmorpgs. It is too broad of a scope.

...and it will. I promise. ;)

One thing that Blizz even said themselves is that BT was released too early which I think is playing at least a part in why WoW seems a bit stale right now. A more gradual release in content would have made it feel better for me at least.

I think the grind became a lot worse with Burning Crusade (I believe I mentioned this earlier). In vanilla WoW, you really didn't have to faction grind much. I mean, you could grind Timbermaw for the +25 agil enchanting recipe... you could grind Thorium Brotherhood for Dark Iron plate (really only good for some of MC and some of BWL). If you were bored, you could grind the Frostsabers rep thingy to get a tiger. But most people had no real reason to grind out rep! Now, I'm looking to have to grind to exalted on a couple characters in quite a few reputations just to get worthwhile things. My mage needs exalted in just about every faction to pick up the alchemy recipes that he never got at 60. My priest needs the same for enchanting, but I'm going to try to only get the decent ones and it's not a top priority.
