Actually, I think HP surpassed Dell for a little while. HP's were available everywhere, that was until Dell expended into retail stores as well.

Ah, that's true. I've seen them at Staples, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.

I'm not surprised that HP is #2. They make the best non-Apple PCs IMO. If I had to buy a windows box today it'd be an HP.
