besides the DNA beign a cluster fuck, the Prosecuter's bullshit, the fact they already found someone guilty of the crime and other shit. it seems she was railroaded

the 2nd trial's jury should make a decision any time now though and most say she will be found innocent and let go.

After 4 years in jail. But she also slandered someone else, saying they might have done it. Yeah, BS because she said she was under duress but might get some time for that. Remind me to NEVER go to Italy.

she won't serve any time for anything if she is found Not Guilty of the murder. there is already a ton of backlash about the case. Not just in the US news but worldwide.

the case is so damn weak it should never of went to trial.

Hope you're right but some judge/d.a. may have an agenda. Won't be the 1st time.

they also charged her parents with slander/libel for bad mouthing the italian judicial system as a POS run by the drama loving italian press(which it is)
 
I read "The Monster of Florence," which was a great book but it introduced me to the Italian "justice system" for the first time. As an American criminal defense attorney I was very shocked in the practices of the police and prosecutors in Italy. If I recall correctly, some of the people from the "Monster" case are some of the same players in the Knox case. Very interesting read for those of you that like that sort of thing.

I also heard (don't remember where) that there is a lot of resentment in Italy of American women that visit and hook up with Italian men, and that there was a lot of anti-American overtones to the trial in general. (e.g. all the jurors wearing Italian colors).

Anyone who actually followed the case closely couldn't possibly think she is guilty, imo.

That doesn't mean she won't rot in an Italian jail, though.
