Just wondering, I have been thinking of getting a set of Logitech's Z560's. I don't need anyone ripping on the Z's, just want to know if these are better than the Z's. In Your Opinion.

thanks,

Gump

Uh...the Z560's will blow these speakers out of the water...

Z560's have 400watts (RMS) whereas these have a total power of 29watts (RMS). So you decide. 400watts, 29 watts...

I know that wattage isn't everything, but in this case, its enough to tell you to buy the Z560's

...But for those who aren't looking to spend ~$150 on Z560s', these should be a fairly good set of speakers for $47.99.

Don't waste your money on those. A friend of mine has that set, they're a s*itty as speakers can get. Weak, distorted sats, a sub that farts instead of producing bass, huge, ugly remote. Don't waste your money on those. If you're looking for a good speaker system, get the Z560s.

yup, either get the Z-560's or get the slim500 for 30 bucks. I believe outpost has the latter and most people that got it seems to enjoy it.

Subwoofer specifications:
Output power: 15 watts RMS
PMPO: 300 watts ...

... andsimilar misleading wattage ratings for the front speakers. How do they calculate the peak momentary power output (PMPO) of 300 watts? I think 300 watts IPPO (imaginary peak power output) is more like it.

Paul

How are these compared to the Labtec 424s(That I got for $19.99)? It would have to be a hell of a sound system for me to give those up.

yup.. these look cheapy.. and plus I don't really recommend getting anything from overstock.. Most (not all) of their products are pretty low in quality.

Dunjon,
I wholeheartedly agree - they sound very good indeed (424's) and I got them for free too (PM & MIR from Staples in August) 🙂
Very impressive speakers for the money.

The labtec 424's are decent for what you pay, but when I listen to them versus my Cambridgeworks 2500's, the Cambridgeworks blow them away.

i got one of these speakers before (in white) for about $25 ...

in my opinion, they were extremely small and sounded horrible... its better to get a decent $50 name brand..

this should be much better sounding Harman and u can use the same coupon and such...

Sorry, But I dont see the 20$ off coupon either, I see a 10.00 one though and a 5% off for first time buyers..

-Joe
