Update, 2 weeks later, and still the fence has not been repaired. I talked to the office of the apartment complex and they said they are waiting on the police report so they can send it to the insurance before they do the work. Don't they have an obligation to get this fixed as soon as possible? I mean not only does not having that fence, leave just a sliding glass door between my apartment and anybody that wants in, without it it also means my son can not go out back and play, which sucks since the weather is getting nice. So is there anything I can do? Even if I can't get them to fix it immediately, shouldn't I be entitled to a discount in this months rent or something? What do you think?

Man I am just sitting here browsing the web and all of a sudden I hear a crash and then a engine just gunning like crazy. I got my fiancee and son to safety and when I came back, the guy was still gunning the engine. I thought he must be drunk, cause he had that thing revving up and down for a good 10-15 minutes. Heck it evetually caught fire.

Come to find out it was stolen, looks liek they may have been trying to torch it. The cops got a suspect(s), but they actually got away from here before the cops came. Glad they didn't try to come in here, I would have had to change my underwear if they didn't kill me first.

I am working on pics now, so hold on.

Like what, everything is okay now, we are all safe, the cops are still milling around a bit outside. I am now just sitting around hoping my son will go back to sleep.

Oh I wasn't mad, i was joking. I don't care what anybody says, I do spend a lot of time on the net, but not as much as some people. Anyways

Heres my yahoo breifcase, check it out, let me know if they don't work. Had to scale down the pics for yahoo to accept them, don't gripe if they suck. I am not a photographer.

Yeah maybe in the real world, but here on ATOT, pics are God.

Hopefully He(She) doesn't smite me for saying that.

We had the same thing happen at our house. Someone I knew (who was drunk) lost control on the curve near the house, went into the driveway, took out the mailbox, and then ripped up the front of the lawn. I in bed half asleep when I heard a car move fast down the street, a couple of booms, and the sound of a wounded car going down the street. I thought 'That sounds strange', and fell back asleep.

We knew the person, so we let him fix the yard instead of calling the cops.

Heck if I no. I sure hope not, but even so it shouldn't be that much. Figures to, I have been shopping for auto+ renters insurance lately.

Oh yeah I think I forgot to mention I am in an apartment, I rent, so not actually my property.

Yeah it actually took out parts of the fences of each of my neighbors on both sides as well.

I was out there, while the fireman where putting it out and busting into the trunk. I don't recall if I got good pics of the gas cans. But the cops where like "are these your gas cans?"

I am all like "yeah I make a habit of torching cars that crash into my backyard"

Okay so maybe I didn't say it like that, but it was cold and I didn't want to get shot or anything.

I am just glad they did not try to get in here, since all I have between them and my apartment is a sliding glass door, would have been nothing to get through that. Thats why my first priority was getting the family out to safety. Then I threw all caution to the wind and went to see what the heck was going on. Never saw the guy(s) though.

Ah what the heck, now you went and ruined all my fun. It was supposed to be a late april fools joke, and you went and ruined the punch line.

Besides, while it may be burnt, I would never have a car in my backyard that is less then 2 differant colors, and no rust is not a color.
