WoW 60 day game card $20 @ BB

Use a Games Gift Card and get it for $14.99. 2 months for the price of one = ownage. I believe it does work. You can't use the coupon online though...

Remember, I BELIEVE you can do this. Someone confirm this for me. 😛 If not, I'll head down to Best Buy later on tonight and confirm it myself.

Note that you DO NOT have to buy it online. It is also in-stores. Just deposit a penny or something into the gift card and use the coupon on the back of the card. Some stores may require a $5 deposit minimum.

If you guys have any other questions, you'll know where to find me.

10.80 a month with tax is really good. I got one for me and one for my wife. I'd get more but I don't know if these can be stacked. Also I couldn't find anything about how purchasing a games gift card gives any discount.

Taking a picture of the coupon and uploading it...

That's the coupon behind the Games Gift Card. Really, that's the only reason why you would invest in a Games Gift Card. Dump a penny onto it and enjoy a $5 savings.

Oh crap! That's a bad picture! You can see part of my face in the case's reflection! Ahhh!!

Hope this answers all your questions as to what a Games Gift Card is, what is the discount, where is the coupon, who I am, and what I look like. 😛

It says in the gift game cards print that markdowns are taken from regular prices so they probably will apply the discount to the $29.99 regular price and not the $19.99 unfortunately.

Hmm...I'll try to test this tonight. Let's see if my Best Buy is full of idiots...

You know last week, Best Buy had a promotion where if you buy any 2 PC games or time cards $19.99 or up, you get a $10 saving instantly. But instead, there was a bug in the system and guess what... I bought Winter Assault ($19.99) and Dark Crusade ($29.99) for $32.45 (tax included)!

So I got $10 off EACH game instead of off the total price and so its like I bought Dark Crusade and got Winter Assault for free.

😛 😀 🙂 I sure owned Best Buy!

Anyways, there's to show how...uhh..."misinformed" the people at my Best Buy are. Heh

Lol, they didn't know about the glitch. Anyways, I was just thinking of another way to say dumb or stupid. 😛

I'm not a happy happy thrilled BB customer myself but geese.

That was a computer glitch you experienced... that's not really owning BB, unless you knew in advance and had someone who you had to convince to allow it at that price.

Second, before you call people unintelligent, you should work on your vocabulary. It doesn't make them dumb to not know how much games are supposed to cost or the promotion was only supposed to apply to one game. Promotions happen all the time and some are different from others. Sometimes BB is practically giving away software like with Zonealarm and Mcaffrey a while back, so while they may have been IGNORANT of that specific promotion, there's a big difference between not knowing something and being unintelligent. And for the record, I never got the impression that most of the cashiers at my local BB use most of the products they sell. I'm not talking about the salesmen, but the cashiers. But that could just be my BB locations.

And you should get your facts straight before misleading people. You claimed very early on that you can use a gift card to get $5 off. This is not the case and since it is off retail not of sale price, it won't be applicable. So this is misleading and could potentially cause people to miss this deal since it is sold out online and it's conceivable some stores could sell out before people could go in person to try the gift card which won't work anyway. Which would cause people to miss a great deal.

Thanks OP for posting. Awesome deal. Got some myself for pickup.

I was able to buy this for $15 using the game card coupon.

I went to 2 different bestbuys in chicago. First store had none in stock. But as I was entering, I saw this guy leaving the store with 2 bags full of them. In the 2nd store I went to, the same guy came up behind me in the isle as I was picking one up. He tried to push by me to grab them all up, which didn't too well as I'm a tall/large guy as he was short/skinny. He grabbed the few left on the shelf and tried to take the one from my hand. When he grabbed me, and tried to push me into the shelf, I twisted is arm and kicked his feet out from under him calling for security. He slipped out the door while the guy at the door just watched. Yay for gold farmers.

uhmmm, where the hell do you live that people try to snatch stuff out of your hand...seriously I hate the midwest but to not have to deal with people like that may justify staying here. wait...wait...you said chicago, only 2 places in the whole midewst that acts like that as far as I know, and you ended up in one of them.

Well, I just did a double whammy...

I bought the burning crusades pre-order and got $10 off the game card ($10 now) and then I added some best buy bucks and got it for free. $39 total for the card and the pre-order.

Okay, my bad then. But I'll tell you this! A few months ago at Circuit City, they had this buy a PC game $19.99 or less and get another PC game of equal or lower value for free. I payed $60 for $220 bucks worth of games. I only payed for the game that cost $20 and I got the expensive games for free. I got Counter-Strike Anthology for $19.99 and got Battle for Middle Earth II for free. I got another Anthology and I got World of Warcraft for free (it was $39.99 there) and then I got Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 for $19.99 and got Guild Wars: Factions for free. I virtually robbed them. 😛 The cashier was pretty young and ignorant so I was undetected. 😛

Anyways, there was a reason why I said I *think* and I wanted to try to confirm it for myself...

Damn Chinese farmers...I mean...heh...what a bunch of asses

BTW, my reference to Chinese farmers are relevant because there ARE Chinese farmers (well, most of them are Chinese) in WoW and they farm like CRAZY...

Well, I went down to Best Buy today and snagged a Gamers card and picked up 6 of these. Yes, 6 because I can see myself playing for another year.

Paying with credit card: 6 months at 77.94 x 2 = $155.88
Buying cards with this deal at Best Buy: $19.99 x 6 = $119.94 + .06 sales tax in MI = $127.13

Overall, I saved 28.73 if you don't take into account the $5 I used. 🙂

Great deal for a great game. 🙂

So uhh...did you use those cards? Did the $5 coupon work?

I did use a $5 gamers card, but only once. I couldn't buy 6 of them and go into the store 6 different times since the Best Buy is far enough away from me. 🙁

I've been thinking about doing that preorder online but once I put Burning Crusades and another game in the basket and go to checkout I notice they want full payment right now for Burning Crusade. Whats the deal with that? Shouldn't I be paying a $10 preorder price?

Picked up 4 cards for both of us. A little over $80 with the coupon and tax. $10 a month is not bad at all. No problems with them accepting the coupon either.
