I started lifting several weeks ago. I started benching 185 and have worked up to 210. I'd like to be at the 300lb level and I know how much work that will take. So congrats.

Be honest, how much do you weigh?

300 club is meaningless, its your strength to weight ratio.

I weigh 288, LOL but like I said I had shoulder surgery recently, and before that surgery I was pushin 370 so I am somewhat limited by the shoulder and its recovery... But i'm happy to be back in the 300's... = )

I used to do 315 for 6-8 reps when I benched. No longer bench. Flys only now. Congrats though

How much did you max at? 315 for 6-8 is pretty hefty.

+1 on that.. For that much reps that is hefty.. I'll get there eventually. I am going to start working out more using dumbells to get my strength up. Did 90's today and they were pretty challenging....

I'm at 2x 40lbs (dumbbells, 12-10 reps), and probably that will be my lifetime maximum. Haven't checked my weight in years.

come back when you squat 400 🙂
Come back when you can bench at least 400. 😉

Seriously, the weights that count on bench:

225
315
405
495
etc

Come back when you can put three wheels on each side at least. 😉
