I read your title, and knew it was about the Royals. They were being talked about on Cold Pizza. That 11 run inning by the Indians is just ridiculous. This is a AA team.

In keno if you miss all of your numbers, you get some kind of huge bonus
maybe that's the gameplan these guys have

or not.

I think someone said it best...they only have 2 major leaguers on their team: Mike Sweeney and De Jesus.

I am keeping my fingers crossed. 5 more losses and they get the record and Orioles fans will not be upset to see that record go down.

Just lost two in a row to the Twins. Yesterday, they lost a 16 inning marathon that was the longest game at the Cell.

I feel really bad for Royals fans. They deserve much better than this. What was once a proud, winning franchise has become a laughing stock. Well, they've been terrible for a while now, I suppose.

It's a joke. It's a joke that the owner's would run a team like this, and it's a joke that MLB would allow it. I love baseball. Love it. Absolutely my favorite sport. Love MLB, even with the bullsh1t. However, one of my biggest gripes is the fact that this can happen. How can a team be so cheap and run so poorly? How can there be teams like this, and like Tampa, Colorado, & Pittsburgh. Milwaukee can be thrown in the mix, but they've shown some amazing signs recently. Point is, these teams shouldn't be perennial losers. Teams that can safely be eliminated from post-season play long before the season even starts. How is this allowed? WHY is this allowed? Isn't there a soft salary cap in baseball? There needs to be a rule saying that ALL MLB teams must spend AT LEAST 60% (this year roughly $72 million) of the cap, or they get fined. Something needs to be done.

I can't name a single player on that team. Last time I was sure of someone on that team was probably Brian McRae. ;) Hey actually I think Beltran started there...

Win or lose, the players still get paid. Hell, if I were earning even the low end of major league salaries, I wouldn't care if my team won or lost. Invest a reasonable percentage of that salary and you'd be set for a comfortable retirement even if you get canned after a couple seasons.
