Think Turkey has said that it will not support it unless it gets another resolution, very doubt any of the scandinavian countries will help without another resolution, or even with one. Yeah maybe a few eastern european countries, hard to tell.

Turkey
Already allows US and British planes to use its bases from which the no-fly zone over Northern Iraq is enforced. But Ankara is very hesitant to join an invasion of Iraq.

Turkey has, so far, made no commitment to allowing American troops to use Turkish air space and facilities for military intervention in Iraq. Surveys show overwhelming public opposition to Turkish bases being used in a US-led war against Iraq.

The only reason why Great Britain is along for the ride is b/c Blair is polishing Bush's knob. The inspectors haven't found a smoking gun, you've got other countries telling to "BACK THE F*&K OFF" and Bush is still tasting blood (err, oil).

And not that it really matters, but 63% of Americans only back the war if we have the full support of the UN.

I say give Saddam some more time!! It's not like he's gonna bust up and start unleashing gas on people. The mofo KNOWS what's gonna happen if he does...he's gonna get a phat cruise missle up his ass.

not sure about Turkey though, been reading one of their news sites and I came up with this

http://www.turkishdailynews.com/FrTDN/latest/for.htm#f15
Meanwhile, Turkish Ambassador to Washington said all the ways should be exhausted to avert a possible war in Iraq, "The summit in Istanbul is also aiming for this, to avert a possible war."
They are trying to prevent it

Turkey is expected to receive as much as $14 billion, most of it in the form of loan guarantees, in exchange for cooperation in a possible war. Washington would look to Ankara to allow U.S. troops and aircraft to open a "northern front" against Iraq. But Turkey is reluctant to agree to a war on its neighbor, fearing economic and military turmoil, and has launched a regional diplomatic initiative to discuss ways to avoid war.
The US trying to buy their support, might be tempting for Turkey

Yup, but we're still part of western europe, i can't believe that someone from the UK doesn't know which countries belong to eastern and western europe...

And germany isn't part of eastern europe either... *sighs*

I think your way out of line here. he knew what we did to him in the 1st gulf war, after that he still killed hundreds of Kurds, so you may want to rethink your last statement

It's pretty much Italy, Germany are western Europe, Poland, Greece easter (well almost) mostly Latvia and Estonia and all the rubbishy little places are really eastern Europe though. Scandanavia is norther, but considered westers, especially as it's directly north of places like Italy and Germany.

Altho not major powers by any means, Poland, Austria and a bunch of other Eastern block/former Soviet current new Nato members are in full support.

After the 1st day of the initial invasion, you will be AMAZED to see how many countries will hop on the bandwagon. France, Gremany, Etc. if they already dont join up when they realize it is inevitable.

Inspections are a complete joke. WHy arent they searching the militar instalations, bunkers and ammo caches. U would think if they were looking for WEAPONS, the military is the 1st place they would look.

Hans Blix has been a weapons inspector in 1 form or another for over 30 years, yet he has NEVER found 1 weapon of mass destrcution in any country he has searched. GUess they just dont exist then.

What an a$$clown!

No, Greece isn't part of eastern europe either... rubbishy little places? You mean rubbishy little places like Russia?

Yep, Iraq needs more time. 12 years just isn't long enough. Multiple resolutions breached. Fact is if the UN can't back up its own resolutions then they are meaningless and, in turn, so is the UN. Question is has Iraq breached the most recent one? If your answer (or the answer that Blix and co. give) is yes then you have two choices: 1) Go to war to back up the resolution; ie put your money where your mouth is, or 2) Disband the UN for uselessness. This isn't the first time Iraq has done it. Not the second, and not the third. Not even the fourth. When is enough enough?
