WoW 1.2.1 patch

When I got the game on Saturday, the patcher was fine, I was getting 200K without enabling the port forwarding on my router. Now, this patch has taken 2 hours to download with the forwarding enabled. With the forwarding disabled, I can't even download anything. What a PITA.

I'm getting 0.00 KB/s down and like 40KB/s up. Blizzard needs more seeds.

Seeds... hmmm... actually, I had to plant 10 seeds last night in Stonetalon 🙂 Those balisks or alligators or whatever resist everything!

I'm guessing this is because when you got the game & patched it, you were getting everything from Blizzard. On patch day though, the load on their servers is probably a thousand times what it is normally and so the downloader is relying more heavily on p2p. Again, did you forward all the ports needed? 6881+ alone won't cut it.
 
I had to open up some ports this time around for decent speeds, but I didn't have to the last time. Looks like they changed around their torrent settings a little.
 
My ISP has severely crippled P2P/BT traffic. I found it on usenet (newsgroups) though a.b.games.

Downloading right now. Hope it works well!

Yes, I forwarded all the ports that Blizzard said to. When I got the game and patched it, I got it from Blizzard + other peers.
