If i remember right, on one of the benchmarking pages an Itanium would do a SETI WU in about 1.5 hrs... in a 24 hour period it would do a little aver 16K WU's :Q

Heh, it'd probably crunch them faster than you could submit them :) And Spacehead, your calculations are just the new addition. Put the whole 35 tflp to work and you'd have almost 100 grand everyday!!

Wow!! Awesome crunching beast!! :shocked:

I am wondering normal workload of this beast, it can't be 100% load 24/7, must have plenty of idle time (Best for us to use)! ;)

I think that when you pay so much money for a machine like that you make sure it always has a full queue, and work hard on software that will deploy new work fast.

Well it looks like 35TB over multiple super computers...

I am sure they will have them working 24/7.
