Wouldn't it be tight if the new iPod can play/store mp3's as well as data storage?

I think they need to figure out a way to be able to use an iPod with both an Apple and a PC at the same time without having to reformat.

Just get a Mac iPod and use ephPod or XPlay. Nobody wants to use MMJB anyway.

I use ephPod and it's fine. It gets the music on my iPod, that's all I can ask for. XPlay is good too. It's sort of a non-program. What it does is allow you to drap and drop files onto your iPod. It does all the database updating for you?

If you're spending $500 on an mp3 player, you can afford a $20 firewire card.

As covered, already do that.

Well, everyone who has a MAC does ;) And if your spending a couple hundred on a player, is $20 of a firewire card that bad?

You can never get the 10GB one for $299.

There listed for $299 (for the 10gb one) with leather case in the hotdeals forum right now.

AFAIK, the batteries aren't replaceable short of sending the unit in. Thats my biggest complaint with it.
