The iPods do work like an external hard drive. I read a new article about people going into apple sotres, attaching the iPods and stealing software and stuff like that,

Maybe in a few years... IMHO Apple will turn the iPod into a fully-functional pda.Originally posted by: lnguyen
heh, looks like Zclyh3 is buying an iPodWhat i really want is a color LCD screen w/ integrated video player.. or hell, make it a pocket PC... all for the same price it's selling for now, and one hell of a battery.
Come on, it's a portable music player. That's the problem with PocketPCs, they try to do everything. I am already annoyed that they put the PDA stuff in the new iPod firmware.Originally posted by: lnguyen

You can never get the 10GB one for $299.

But the problem is that no EVERYONE has a firewire port. Now if they made it where it shares USB AND Firewire (IEEE 1394) ports, then that would be the bomb.

Yes, I've done it with my Archos Jukebox. Needless to say I no longer own it. Need the USB 2.0 model if anything...Could you imagine transferring 5 or 10GB of mp3s via USB. **shudder**
