Wouldn’t it be great if Russia loved us?

Per the former President. Thank god we have an administration not subservient to Russia today.

Russia is trying to undermine the safety & effectiveness of US COVID vaccination. I am sure they are doing it because they care about us.
Be prepared for all the morons, idiots and assholes to start repeating propaganda again.

Thank god twitter, Facebook and google have cracked down on bullshit propaganda from Russian Trolls, we would be fucked if they didn’t.

As I look around we seem already pretty fucked to me. I think it’s time to do what we can to destroy the Putin government. I would start by destroying the Republican Party that works for them. I would do that by creating a government of Democratic rule that serves average people. The world is infected by the disease that says others hate you, it’s not your own hate of your self you are projecting. There is only one real enemy and it is you, the universal presence of self hate that creates the fear of others by projection. It is learning to love the other that can save you. The way to learn that is via the care we give others via socialism, the care for others as we wish they would care for us.

The disease can’t be fixed out there in a day for the world but can be fixed for one personally in an instant via the death of the ego self.

There is only love. ❤️

It's really had to put the screws to Europe's gas station the way we'd like to. And Putin knows this. Hope Biden's got a team smart enough to bring down the hammer a bit harder.

Yea. Wtf is up with that.

Russia loves you more than those dirty commie libtards!

Remember that time Robert Mueller wrote that extensive report after his 2 year investigation, detailing Trump and his campaign and his administration's repeated cooperation and colluding behavior with Putin and Russia to benefit himself, harm the United States, and all the republican supporters believed that it said the exact opposite of what it very clearly said?

Fun times.

Biden should release the un-redacted reports. You know the copies before Bill Barr modified them

While they should un-fuck anything Barr fucked I doubt it would matter. Even in their current form they document extensive collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign yet to this day people like Greenman still deny it. What would a few more pages do?
Absent a national security reason the unredacted report should be released. Transparancy and to get the truth on the record. Remember Trump's people wouldn't care if he killed someone on 5th ave so fuck 'em.

Or just have the DOJ put out a comment that says we are looking into releasing the underacted version for full disclosure.

And just watch the entire trump supporting congress loose their shit over it.

The extent to which Trump did damage to the nation both internally and externally is beyond the willful comprehension of his supporters such that 74+ million of them did not care at all about it and decided he should be reelected in order to give him four more years to install his fascist rule over the nation.

His supporters wanted to deny any other party or person the opportunity to wrest power away from them because that was the only, I repeat the ONLY thing that mattered despite the fact that Trump was criminally and blatantly trampling over the Rule of Law in so many self-serving and reckless ways.

Let this sink in: They will do it again without hesitation, without remorse. Everything that Biden will do that benefits them personally will be gladly accepted but attributed to their being defiant of him and his ideology. There is no "everybody wins" that can be had in their minds. There is this and this alone: "the only way they can win is if everybody else loses".

Well, as the article points out - it’s really complicated. IIRC, many pipelines from Russia come through Belarus. But Belarus had been trying to leverage that situation against Russia, which just provided more impetus for Russia and Germany, etc., to seek a sea route. In addition, Germany's hasty decision to quickly shutdown all of its nuclear power plants put enormous pressure on the government to build out natural gas fired power plants.

Within the US policy circles, this created a strategic disadvantage where NATO allies would be heavily dependent on Russia for fuel for electricity generation; making EU counties subject to Russian political pressure and, perhaps, outright blackmail. Secondly, there is the problem of losing European customers of US natural gas, harming US producers Revenue Streams, leaving them with overbuilt production and distribution capabilities. Hence the US' pressure to stop the Nord Stream pipeline.

Add to this Russia's continual interference in American and European politics and continued bad acts in the Ukraine and around the world. This stupid podunk oligarchy is seeding chaos and instability throughout the world in a perverse attempt to remain relevant and enact Putin’s personal vendetta against the US and its allies over the fall of the Soviet Union.

We, the US, are increasingly unamused. We are sick of wasting time and money on a country, by its own design, is a gas station who's side hustle is selling weapons and sowing division in the western world. Petrol dollars by a lot of goodwill amongst factions in other countries, like basically buying off the GOP base and politicians here in the US.

Apparently, the only thing Republicans don't like about Russia is their economics.

Wow never bothered to look it up. In most recent February poll, Putin has 65% approval rating. Like everything he's doing interfering abroad, has he helped Russians with these actions? Like why such support for him as a leader?

Link?

Putin is a dictator who stomps on his opponents (when he doesn't poison them). He's got Russia in his iron grip. He's the enemy of freedom and democracy. Get this through your head. He's the enemy.

Definitely the enemy for most of the world. But he must be doing something right domestically to have those approval numbers

I have TWO opinions of Putin.

First (and obviously) he IS an serious enemy of democracy and very formidable. A force to be reckoned with.

Second however, I have tremendous respect for him, dictator or not. It's important to note that the type of "respect" I'm referring to here is the kind you give a Cobra or a loaded pistol. (I DO NOT like or approve of the man)

He played Trump like a cheap fiddle.... made him look like the true amateur he is in the realm of "bad-guys".

Well, if it's dangerous to oppose him, aren't a fair number of people going to parrot "approval?" I suspect that privately a great many of those people would express different opinions. In a poll? Not so much.

I imagine in Hitler's Germany it was worse. You chanted HH in lockstep, but in your heart of hearts it was not your thinking for a great many.

In the USA we figure we have freedom of speech, the whole 1st amendment ethos. "It's a free country," we like to say and think. In a dictatorship people are more guarded with their opinions/feelings. You know, Trump got many votes from people who were doing what they were supposed to do, not what they would do if they felt free to express themselves. He set this country back. The cycles of D/R are sort of a national malaise. I was very disheartened that Obama inspired such animosity in the USA. I thought his presidency was the best thing to happen here in decades. He's still very popular around the world. But forces here did their best to denigrate him, and I deplore that and the abrogation of integrity that allowed it.

Right?

I'd say the screws are on...

Funny, where have you seen this pattern before, old vs younger :

Seriously?

Yes he has limited the opposition’s access to media. His party essentially controls Russian media and uses it to deliver propaganda to the population. What he has done ‘right’ is execute the playbook that dictators have for decades.

economically Russia is in trouble with a shrinking population
