Would you work for this job for $100K/year?

Pros:
-Good money. $100K may not be a lot in NYC, but with bonus, it's respectable. And yes, it is a lot in this economy.
-No real prior skills needed
-International travel
-Probably minimal stress

Cons:
-No growth, you're just a glorified family helper

$100k is a lot in NYC, assuming you're not spending lavishly and needlessly. Most households don't make anywhere near 6 figures and they seem to be doing fine.

No, I'll stick with my current job, thanks. That does not sound like something I could do.

No, that sounds like hell. You'd basically be getting 100K to be some rich guys slave. No way that would be minimal stress. And you wouldn't get to enjoy any of the foreign travel.. you'd be slaving away while the master enjoyed it.

You're a wage-slave already so might as well go all in for more money.

I don't think so. The "personal assistant" part is fine...but I don't want to deal with the "family." I'm not a fan of kids...especially someone else's kids...and this job sounds like it's a glorified butler/babysitter/house manager PLUS personal assistant.

The money's good for the type of job, but it's not nearly enough to get me to move to NYC.

I didn't see the family part 😵

OK, I can go back to thinking I pay my assistant too much. Good.

You gain tons of insight, access to influencing people. I wouldn't be able to do this personally, not in 1000 years but it can be an amazing way to make progress in life.

Sure. I did that getting paid minimum wage, except I only had to put up with it for 8 hours a day. For $100k... bend me over baby, anything you want🙂.

Not really. I make more money than that doing consulting work which doesn't require me to be anyones bitch.

I have my wage-slave job on the side, but that comes with 7 weeks of vacation, normal hours, and low stress.
