Would you work for this job for $100K/year?

No, that sounds like hell. You'd basically be getting 100K to be some rich guys slave. No way that would be minimal stress. And you wouldn't get to enjoy any of the foreign travel.. you'd be slaving away while the master enjoyed it.

not sure if you read the full description.

pay starts at $75k depending on experience.

also you need at least 5 years experience basically doing the same thing prior, as well as a 4 year college degree.

not sure how from all the things you will be handling and the description, that you think it is "probably minimal stress".

its a job. it would get most out of debt (well around here). I do know someone who would thrive in that work setting. she is amazing at what they are asking for.

um no. that sounds like a project manager role and from the description is very stressful.

project managers in finance IT around here make probably at least $150k/year BEFORE bonus.

I know two people (including the assistant to the owner of our company) who've done that type of job. It's extremely stressful and time consuming. You have to be on your game all the time. If you fuck up a flight or miss an important call to change a meeting or something, they will be pissed! You have to be ready to fulfill very unreasonable requests. They decide to cancel that trip last minute you spent 5 hours on the phone preparing and fly somewhere else instead? Tough shit, get it done.

But they also take good care of you and go beyond the norm if you do a good job. Example being when the assistant to the owner got in a bad car accident driving home to see family, he chartered a private jet to fly her home.

Pros:
-Good money. $100K may not be a lot in NYC, but with bonus, it's respectable. And yes, it is a lot in this economy.
-No real prior skills needed
-International travel
-Probably minimal stress

Cons:
-No growth, you're just a glorified family helper

I take issue with these just glancing at the job description. Sounds to me like you'd have to have cracker secretarial skills. I mean:

Expense report management
Handling extremely busy phones
Updating and managing the database of contacts (both business and personal)
Drafting email and mail correspondence
Coordinating mass mailings
Travel itineraries (both business and personal)
Maintaining a busy and ever changing business, personal, and house calendar

These all cry secretarial skills. And minimal stress? Lol not if you really have to manage as much as is listed on the site, and given that you are working for some rich ass guy he probably isn't going to take kindly to even minor fuck ups that you may not even be able to prevent.
