Would you walk 500 miles to save a complete strangers life?

How long are they going to live after I save them? Cause if they got hit by a bus three days after I walked 500 miles I'd be pretty pissed.
 
500 miles to save one life? Of course.. I mean, unless it was osama bin laden or hitler.. Not that hitler is alive.. Though the guilt of leading to someone's death, even osama's, would bother me for a moment or two.. Then I'd get over it while eating a bacon cheese burger..
 
Sounds like an adventure, so why the hell not? As long as it's not walking in a straight line in a complete desert, with absolutely nothing to do or see. In that case, he'd probably have to die 😉
 
again, depends on who's life it is. hahha. and why cant i drive or fly? if someone's life is in danger, shouldnt you get to him/her asap?

Yes probably...

I think a human life is precious. BUT, something else I'd have to take into account, are they worth saving? What if they were a murdering, child molesting, rapist? Hell no, I wouldn't save em. Just a "regular Joe"??? Yes, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
 
In the spirit of the question, I voted 'yes' to help a stranger. But realistically, I can't think of a situation today where help is as far away as 500 miles and needing to walk the whole way. That's like walking across 3 or 4 average sized U.S. states!

There are better, faster, shorter solutions to helping said stranger. 😛
 
I think the 50% who said yes are full of crap..... Saving some peoples lives are as simple as donating some money, and I doubt even half of you who said yes do that.
 
Well the question is. Will I die walking 500 miles? Did I pack enough food? Hows the terrain?

Also, Who told me I would save this person if I walked 500 miles. Why can't they walk the 500 miles? Wheres the proof this person even exists.

If all was proven true. I'd call the police and tell them they need a chopper that can get 500 miles faster than I can walk it.

You really can't? Hell it's a month of walking, not 10 years spent in a cubicle getting raped twice daily. I'd walk 500 miles for any number of things one of which would be only a few thousand bucks. As eakers said it would be a good experience and as somebody else said I couldn't imagine going through the rest of my life knowing that a month of keeping off my feet literally cost the existence of another person.

And I can't believe ya'll are going into this so much. It's a simple question that you can take at face value you don't need conditions like is this guy a child molestor or why is the walking going to save them, etc. etc. golly gee!

 
Um, no. To save one person's life? Fvck em. I'll walk for the cure or something that can benefits to a wide range/variety of people, but not just one person I don't know nor will I ever meet. What if that person is a mass murderer or a rapist? What if they wouldn't do the same for me? What if they'll die anyway the next day? Everyone here is saying it's circumstantial but to waste a period of your life to save one person's life isn't worth it. If you want to do something worthwhile go volunteer at a food bank or donate some money to a worthy cause.
