Would you take a shot that gave you a special ability even if there was a 50% chance that you would die?

At first I was going to ask if that 50% took into account Sylar coming after you but after seeing your post I'd say that the odds of survival for any significant length of time do not loog very good ...

How is that useless? You could live in the ocean, you could make millions training hammerhead sharks to do shows, you could totally get laid anytime you wanted because you and your date could ride dolphins off into the ocean sunset, and you could be the best fisherman ever ("hey fish get in this net!").

Now the abillity to command squirrels, that's almost useless (you could gather lots of nuts).

Hey, Squirrel Girl took down Doctor Doom once! Don't underestimate those squirrels.
