Half the people in here are paralyzed from the neck up and it's not stopping them from posting in OT.

It's different having a disease where you never could walk. It's sort of like being blinded. You can't really lose something if you never had it. But to lose the ability to walk, or climb, whatever... It would be devastating. I wouldn't want to go on.

hmmm, waist up I could still do bunches of stuff.

neck down I could still read, listen to music, love and learn.

So of course on both counts.

It's not nearly as bad as you all think. I was normal until I was 15, and I always said exactly what alot of you are. It's not so bad when it happens.

How long have you been paralyzed?

As long as I can read and move my head, I think life would be worth living. After the initial pride loss, I would get used to it. Humans are, after all, the most adaptable animals in the world.

yes/yes

i think my daughters would still get something out of me being around
besides, look at what crab can do, over 5000 posts with his teeth

i work with a blind guy that uses the internet all the time/same pay grade as me, he does ok

it would be really hard to change, but i would give it my best shot

I agree with Baked, you're tough as hell. I couldn't do it. If I had kids, maybe I would change my mind, but I don't.

BTW Muadib, for being a Vikings Fan, you get 10% discount and choice of death, quick and painless or slow and torture. So what will it be?

I think if I was paralyzed from the neck down there would be much I could do to earn a living, especially what I really want to do (medicine). I'll probably end up being dependent on my parents and they dont really have that much money. So assuming I had a choice to live or die, I would probably die, unless I was married with children, then I would definitely want to atleast see them grow up, or if my family had the financial means to support me and live comfortably as well. But in the end it's not somethign you can say until you've really experienced it.
