And of course i knew i'd have bad luck :(

I've got 1 dead pixel right dead in the center of the monitor. It's green on a black background and while in the bios. I tried to massage it out, but it's still there. I guess i wouldn't mind so much if it were on the side or corner, but it's right in the middle......

I bought it from Zipzoomfly, and they don't have the 8 pixel rule like newegg.....so what would you do??

Should i live with it or return it and get another?? (and hope that i get better luck)

Thanks!

That's kinda what i thought too. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination, and forking over $369 for something that i'm not 100% satisfied with just doesn't sit well with me :(

Well, i emailed them for RMA service, we'll see how it goes.

thanks guys! :)

Goodluck. I have a Dell 2001FP. One stuck pixel (red) on the top center. (In the IE Address bar @ 1600x1200). I decided it wasn't worth the trouble shipping it back.

I sent back a samsung 710n for the same reason, they had no problems either because of the location and it being stuck green

Well, after emailing Zipzoomfly, they proceed to email me back saying they have a 6 or more dead pixel policy......which is NOT stated anywhere on their website.

This is total BS on their part and i will NOT be purchasing anything from them in the future. I called them on the phone and even the lady helping me agreed with me that she doesn't know why they don't list the policy anywhere on their site.

I finally just told them that i'd like to return it then and got them to bring the restock fee down from 15% to 7.5%.

I think i'm going to hold off on getting another LCD until the technology improves.

This is why I won't buy an LCD yet. It would be like buying an Athlon-64 and finding out it can't do SSE2 because that part is broken. Or buying a 6800GT and finding out it can't decode certain video that was advertised... oh wait...

Yea I'll keep buying my lcd's from dell as long as they keep running 25% deals and keep their 21 day return policy :)

I'd throw it out the window in anger and make someone pay for it....or something....or RMA it...that might work too.

Say there are 6 dead pixels and return it. When they ask where the other 5 are say that they are on the edge.

Whole lotta crying going on in here. Dead pixels are a part of life with LCD's. Either you can accept that, or not.

Poke it-- mash the screen real hard with something and say it arrived like that.

Don't get screwed. Make the manufacturer pay.

=p

If you venture into the "Official L90D+ thread" in Hot Deals you'll see some bad luck with replacement units. I got one too and have a stuck green pixel in the upper left. Decided to keep it since it's a beautiful, quick display and that makes up for it well enough to not deal with Andy Chia and the whole RMA thing.

There should be a way to break pixels and make them go bad so that you can get your refund.

Buy LCD's from Dell the have a 30 day no questions asked return policy...

Also thier own LCD's are damn sweet. I never had any dead pixels on my old 2001FP and my 2405FPW doesn't have any either.
