I have been looking at 80 gig hdd's lately, and I found one that I think might be a good one. The only problem is that I haven't heard anything about it yet. This hdd is the Seagate 80G 7200rpm (Barracuda4 ST380021A) if anyone knows anything about it, could you please tell me. Thanks.

Do a search in the hot deals forum, there was a deal with compgeeks for this 80 gig i believe for around 170 dollars and alot of people were posting information about it(i think?)...i hope they improved their drives since their original 7200 rpm drive days...man my medalist pro 8 gb is a heater.

I think GamePC has a review of the 60GB Barracuda IV. Personally, I would only buy a SCSI hard drive from Seagate.

I haven't used that model myself, but having got 2 Seagates in my other machine @ home, I can sure say they make quite a bit of noise.... but that might have something to do with the # of platters... ;)
