Would you Rather get shot in the kneecap with a .45 caliber pistol or shot in the thigh with a broadhead arrowhead by a compound bow? Discuss.

From a pure logistical standpoint, shattering a knee cap, possibly the bottom of your femur or top of your tibia, and shreading all of the connective tissue in and around your knee sounds pretty fucking horrible.

The broadhead is going to slice the hell out of your hamstring and you risk a compartment syndrome and losing your leg entirely or the chance of bleeding out if it hits your femoral artery. Which are it's own risks.

Long term recovery is likely better for the hammy hit if you get medical attention soon enough.

Too easy...

How about choosing between a paper cut and decapitation.

Seriously dude, what motivates your question -- you have something in mind?

how about no on both?

I choose to not be near a weirdo with a compound bow. The 45 is a little harder to ensure not happening though if someone pulled from far enough away I could do a combat roll like in gta5 to break their lock. I have mastered taking cover as well.

I took an arrow in the shin when I was a kid. I crushed my knee in a motorcycle accident. The arrow is several orders of magnitude less painful.

Arrow to the thigh; you get a chance of arterial damage ending the pain but at least your kneecap is in-tact. This was too easy.

a broadhead could very easily wreck the massive artery in your leg. Thats kinda what they are designed for.

Yes, I realize you could bleed out and die, but, my legs are big, and the femoral artery is only occupying a small percentage of the fleshy part of the leg.

95% chance survive with fleshwound 5% chance bleed out / or emergency tournaquet and lose leg.

Knee cap 45 = guaranteed joint problem the rest of the life, replacement kneecap at a minimim

I'll take the low chance of death over the guarantee of huge hassles and long term suffering.
