Would you rather look real strong/buff and be weak OR look rather weak and scrawny but be real strong?

He is more than likely built like a tank....unless of course you think because you aren't no one else can be.

When I was 190lbs people said I must be fat too until they saw me (5'10.5")...I like to stay around 175-180 though with a little bodyfat on me still, at the 190lb mark with a little bodyfat I'd have been more like 210lbs probably and still not chubby.
Sure it does unless you are completely musclebound . . . 5'6" is pretty short - you cant compare since you are 4-1/2" taller . . . :p

And did you believe the 6% bf also?

:) I figured the 6% the last time I was at the doc was tongue in cheek.

My friend was about 5'6" and around 160lbs and we was a champ wrestler (H/S and college stuff, not WWF). Hardly musclebound either as he you really can't be as a 'real' wrestler.

He was also the guy that got me to realize my true potential....which I let go this past year in a cocktail of beer and stress (I am about 185 now...was 175 in shape so however much muscle you loose in a year + weight gain). I *used* to be the guy that took off his shirt and people talked about it...now I am the guy that takes off his shirt and people probably hurt themselves running for cover :) Luckily I shed weight fast, 3 months I can be close to an animal again. me shall crush! crush crush crush :)

Naw, you want to do a variety. Crunches with weights are good but leg lifts are great, too, as long as you have proper positioning. And there are many other ways to hit the abs.

everyone says i'm stronger than i look. i have nice muscle tone, i used to do about 80 pushups in 2min and 90 situps in 2min. I'm in the army reserves and i keep in good physical condition so I can pass the P.T. tests. I rather look strong and be stong.

If they are shooting at me, I'd rather be as small a target as possible (and strong and fast). ;)

:D

Good luck with your tests.

As to the leg lifts being useful to condition the abs . . . thanks (I guess).

Crunches work upper abs which more people can get easier....leg lifts work the lower abs....

In most women's cases the 'pooch'/pot belly ;).

However spot reduction is impossible....and unfortunately for most people abs are the first to get the extra weight and last to remove it.

my "pooch" was caused by repeat abdominal surgeries and I am also losing weight along with exercising.
