would you rather be a light sleeper but fall asleep faster, or a heavy sleeper but have difficulties falling asleep?

I have the best of both worlds. I've slept thru bombs going off and F-16's taking off with full afterburners but I'll wake up with the slightest noise that is out of place 🙂

I'm a heavy sleeper who fall asleep fast. Takes me a minute or two to fall asleep and unless I drink a lot of water before I go to sleep, I don't wake up until the alarm clock goes off the next morning.

I'm an extremely heavy sleeper, and in most cases, it's difficult for me to fall asleep. 4 alarms clocks cannot wake me up. Usually, the housemates hearing the alarms and shoving me awake is the best way to wake me up. blah.

I'm a heavy sleeper, but it takes me about an hour to fall asleep.

What I want is to be able to wake up easier. When I wake up, I feel heavy and dead. My body won't let me eat until about 1.5 hours after I wake up (I literally gag on food).

I'm a heavy sleeper AND I fall asleep right away.

It actually kind of sucks. I wouldn't want to be as light a sleeper as my parents, who can't hear a damn thing when they're awake but can hear anything while they're asleep. But it's often very difficult for me to wake up in the morning and I've had issues with being late for work because I've slept in. I've taken to sleeping on the couch, even though it's less comfortable, because it's easier for me to wake up if I sleep there.

I hate when I have a hard time falling asleep. It's frustrating and leads to the furthering of my inability to sleep. But fortunately, it only happens when I get really stressed out or have had a lot of caffeine before bed.

I wish I could fall asleep faster and be a light sleeper.

It usually takes me anywhere from 1 to 5 hours to fall asleep. And Every morning, it is VERY hard to wake up.

If I could fall asleep in like 15-20 minutes ... and if it was easier to wake up in the morning .. that would be awesome.

Being a light sleeper sucks, especially when you go to college and you live in the city. I would much rather be a heavy sleeper with some difficulty falling asleep.

Light sleeper, a lot easier to make the place quiet and no sound rather than fixing your quick sleep problems.

I will be up in bed sometimes for 3 hours before I will fall asleep... Fall asleep at like 12:00AM or 1AM and wake up at 6:30AM or something, it's no fun at all... I feel like a big smelly turd.

man, you know one of those electro-ab-exercise machines? You know, the ones that stimulate your muscles by sending electronic signals. Those thing HURT like hell when you wrap that stuff around your arm and put it to maximum power. Well, apparently, my roommate once wrapped it around my arm, and put it to full power in an attempt to wake me up.

My arm was flailing everywhere, but he told me that I was still sound asleep, oblivious to my flailing arm. I've put that ab-machine on my arm once and it really hurts like hell. I couldn't believe I wasn't able to wake up from it. Then again, I'm assuming that that stuff doesn't isn't very effective since your brain is wired in a way that makes involuntary contractions something that is not worth waking up for.

I'm a light sleeper and it takes me like a half an hour to fall asleep. I don't mind the light sleeper part, I actually enjoy it, I just REALLY hate having a hard time falling asleep.
